The event presented an opportunity to move forward with discussions begun at the June 15 EESA Town Hall, during which EESA Associate Laboratory Director Susan Hubbard spoke of the importance of listening, discussing, and learning as it relates to racial equity.

During the brownbag session, Aditi led a discussion about anti-racism education, reflection, and action, and asked attendees to share thoughts and questions that have come from their own self-reflection practice and study of racial equity. She also described some of the “Equity Reset” activities that Berkeley Lab will be introducing on the first Friday of each month.
