Modeling, analysis, and design of coupled fluid-heat-rock-fracture systems. Topics of interest include geomechanics, CCS (CO2 injection), fault reactivation, hydraulic fracturing, reservoir simulation, geothermal energy, induced seismicity, discrete fracture networks, thermal recovery, software development, and algorithm optimization.

The developed simulator can model fracture propagation in natural fractures considering both local and far-field interactions, flowback/production and geothermal energy production from propagated complex fractures networks, and conduct fracture diagnostics for source parameters.

Now I focus on fault reactivation due to CO2 injection and storage. The newly developed model can establish any complex and realistic faults that may exist in the subsurface.
